Corrosive aggressiveness

Among the Scientific-Technical Services offered are those related to the protection of facilities against corrosive aggressiveness, as well as the determination of corrosive aggressiveness of different types of atmospheres.

• Evaluation and characterization of the corrosive aggressiveness of the atmosphere of the client's areas of interest: urban, industrial, industrial-coastal and seawater.
• Forecast the corrosive behavior of materials, installations, parts, construction articles and others.
• Accelerated tests (heat, humidity, salt spray) with regimes similar to the Cuban climate. Selection of optimal materials resistant to corrosion in the Cuban environment (weather, warehouses, sea water, among others).
• Technical advice and consulting specialized in corrosion and deterioration of metallic and non-metallic materials (paints, plastics, varnishes, inhibitors, coatings, among others).
• Assistance to projects.
• Tests using advanced safe and fast electrochemical techniques: Polarization Curves, Polarization Resistance, Impedance Spectroscopy, Electrochemical Noise Analysis, among others.

Cuban and international norms and methodologies are used to carry out the services, as well as special procedures developed by this area.
